In order to provide career development education and service learning experiences to senior secondary students, the Department of Education Studies is teaming up with the Caritas Hong Kong Family Service to launch the “Weave a Dream Project Pilot Scheme”. 



Under this scheme, the Department of Education Studies will engage students in a range of learning experiences on campus. As well as attending career talks and interactive workshops conducted by experts and professional trainers, students can acquire career development skills in real work settings.

More than 250 students from 20 secondary schools, school principals and members of the Caritas Hong Kong Family Service attended the “Weave a Dream Project Pilot Scheme Launching Ceremony cum Training Seminar” held on 6 May.

In her speech at the ceremony, Professor Atara Sivan, Head of the Department of Education Studies, said that as an inclusive learning community the Department cherishes community engagement and the cultivation of positive youth development and growth. She said the objectives of the “Weave a Dream Project” are beautifully in line with the Department’s mission and strategies, and the Department is proud to provide the context, support and expertise for its implementation.
