Several hundred alumni, staff members and friends gathered on campus on 2 October to take part in the Happy Diamond Jubilee Homecoming Day 2016 organised by the Alumni Affairs Office.

Participants had a great time rekindling friendships through various activities including Diamond Jubilee Campus Tour, Diamond Jubilee Tea Reception and Alumni Investiture Ceremony.

Officiating at the kick-off ceremony of the Diamond Jubilee Campus Tour were Vice-President (Research and Development) Professor Rick Wong; Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) Dr Albert Chau; Associate Vice-President Professor Frank Fu; Dean of the School of Continuing Education Professor Raymond So; Head of the Department of Journalism, School of Communication Dr Alice Lee; and Director of Alumni Affairs Dr Melanie Lee. Through the campus tour, participants learned more about the latest development of campus facilities and visited the HKBU School of Chinese Medicine – Lui Seng Chun. 

At the Alumni Investiture Ceremony, alumni who graduated in 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986 and 1991 were presented with name-engraved medals from President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Roland Chin in recognition of their contributions to society and their family over the years.
