Three HKBU academics have been elected to the Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities as Fellows to recognise their long-term contribution to the teaching and research in the field of arts and humanities studies.

The elected Fellows are: Professor Stuart Christie, Head of Department of English Language and Literature; Professor Lo Ping-cheung, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts; and Professor Zhang Hongsheng, Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature.

Including the above three faculty members, there are currently 10 HKBU scholars among the Fellows of the Academy.

The Academy aims to foster and advance knowledge of the humanities in Hong Kong, support and promote scholarship and research in the arts and humanities, and assist Hong Kong humanists in scholarly engagement and collaboration in Asia and other international communities.
