A sign of recognised talents and efforts, 11 graduation projects of alumni of Academy of Film, School of Communication of HKBU, who graduated in 2016 and 2017, were shortlisted by RTHK to be featured in its TV programme Young Film Maker II.

The programme will be broadcast on Sundays on RTHK TV 31 and 31A from 11 pm to 12 am for 10 weeks, starting from this Sunday, 3 December.

The 11 shortlisted graduation projects are:The Eighth, The Little Big Thing, The Double Life and Misfire by graduates of the Class of 2016 as well as Sammy, Elite, Cut from the Same Cloth, Longboard Sunrising, Silence, About that Year Summer and The Last Gift by graduates of the Class of 2017.

Young Film Maker II aims at showcasing the works of young film-makers and providing an opportunity for the production teams to share details and techniques of filming, the challenges they faced as well as film language and theory with established Hong Kong film directors including Herman Yau, Jevons Au, Lau Ho-leung and Luk Kim-ching. Through discussions and sharing sessions, the programme enhances public knowledge on film production and enables people to understand the younger generation from different perspectives.
